Enterprise architecture drives ideation and innovation and provides overall direction and guidance in the definition of an enterprise’s current and future architecture. An enterprise architect is typically certified in an EA framework such as TOGAF and requires experience in and solid knowledge of General IT Governance such as COBIT and ITIL. Certification in Security+ as well as Cloud Essentials is becoming more and more necessary. Responsibilities of an enterprise architect include developing strategies, roadmaps, principles, standards and best practices that align with business objectives.
